Pre-war and mid-century homes next to the city

Brighton borders the City of Rochester to the southeast. The town has had no central village since Rochester annexed the former village of Brighton, around East Avenue and Winton Road, in 1905; today Twelve Corners serves as its hub. The Erie Canal and the Erie Canal Heritage Trail run through town, Monroe Community College has its main campus here, and the Stone-Tolan House and the Alcoa Care-free Home are on the National Register of Historic Places.

Brighton's housing is older than most suburbs: the typical home dates to around 1960, and more than one in five was built before 1940. Older homes often have more than one layer of roofing, wood trim that may be hiding rot, and original windows. We check decking, trim and sills during the free estimate and price any necessary repairs before additional work is done.
