Churchville and the Town of Riga

The Village of Churchville sits in the northwest part of the Town of Riga, where NY Routes 33 and 36 meet. It is named for Samuel Church, who bought the land in 1806, and Black Creek, a tributary of the Genesee River, flows through the village. Churchville Park and its golf course are just north of the village, and the rest of Riga is a mix of farmland, the hamlet of Riga Center and homes along the roads that cross the town.

Most homes in Churchville and Riga are owner-occupied, and the typical home dates to the late 1970s. Many are now due for a second roof, new windows or updated siding, and rural properties often add garages, barns and outbuildings that need roofing too.

How we help Churchville and Riga homeowners

The Village of Churchville has its own building inspector and code enforcement officer for homes inside the village; the rest of Riga is handled by the Town of Riga Building Department. If your project requires a permit, we'll discuss the requirements with you before work begins.
